Bixbi Pet Foods

Since 2009, we’ve crafted recipes that offer superior, whole food nutrition for pets.

Thoughtfully Sourced

Our proteins come with adjectives like cage-free, pasture-raised and wild-caught because they are.

Crafted, not Manufactured

We call them recipes for a reason. All BIXBI products are thoughtfully created to maximize nutrition and mouthwatering palatability.

Purity that’s Proven

Put down your No. 2 pencils, this is serious stuff. BIXBI uses third-party labs to test for heavy metals and contaminants, ensuring only the best ends up in your bowl.

Empty bowls, full bellies

We overthink what goes into every recipe for superior digestive health and incredible taste.

At BIXBI Pet, we take the production of our pet food very seriously. We maintain the highest quality standards and safety procedures to guarantee that BIXBI foods and treats are the absolute best in their class. What does that mean? Well for starters it means that our facilities are audited on an ongoing basis by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure strict food safety standards are maintained. Additionally, each of our facilities has Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) food safety regulations.

The First Kibble Independently Certified by
Clean Label Project®

A Better Standard. Independently Verified.

At BIXBI, we believe what's not in your pet's food matters just as much as what is.

For years, we've held ourselves to a higher standard—using real meat, poultry, and fish, carefully selected ingredients, and rigorous quality testing to create recipes pet parents can trust.

Now that commitment has been independently verified.

BIXBI is the first dog and cat kibble brand to be independently certified by Clean Label Project, recognizing products that meet rigorous standards for purity, safety, and ingredient integrity through comprehensive third-party testing.

What is the Clean Label Project?

Clean Label Project is an independent nonprofit dedicated to bringing greater transparency to consumer products. Rather than evaluating what's listed on the ingredient panel alone, Clean Label Project tests for more than 400 environmental and industrial contaminants - including heavy metals, pesticides, and plasticizers - that can find their way into products through the supply chain.

Their certification recognizes products that meet strict standards for purity, safety, and ingredient integrity, giving consumers greater confidence in what they're feeding their families, including the four-legged ones.

BIXBI is proud to be the first dog and cat kibble brand to earn this independent certification.

The BIXBI Better Standard™

Clean Label Project certification isn't where our commitment to quality begins—it's the latest way we're proving it.

From sourcing real meat, poultry, and fish to carefully selecting every ingredient and rigorously testing every batch, we've always believed pet food should be held to a higher standard.

Because earning your trust shouldn't depend on our word alone, it should be backed by transparency, testing and independent verification.

Why aren't BIXBI’s Salmon recipes Clean Label Project Certified?

Fish are naturally higher in certain heavy metals because they absorb minerals from the waters they live in throughout their lives. Unlike contaminants introduced during manufacturing, these naturally occurring elements are an unavoidable part of the marine food chain.

We've spent years evaluating salmon from around the world—from the fjords of Norway to the Baltic Sea—to find the cleanest, highest-quality ingredients possible. While sourcing can influence contaminant levels, no wild or farmed fish source eliminates naturally occurring heavy metals.

Rather than pursue certification where nature sets unavoidable limits, we chose to focus first on certifying the recipes where we could meet Clean Label Project's rigorous standards. It's another example of our commitment to transparency: we'd rather explain the science honestly than make promises we can't keep.
